Scenario optimisation

Optimisation significantly affects the operations and results of the scenario calculation. By default, the objective of optimisation is to maximise the scenario's net present value.

When the optimisation setting is on, several operation chain alternatives are calculated for each stand. Operation chain alternatives are defined as part of the configuration of the chosen calculation model. If you need more information on the operations simulation in different calculation models, please contact customer support.

Optimisation selects the operation chain for every stand according to the objective and constraints if those are added to the optimisation task.

Optimisation can be switched off in the scenario settings. It speeds up the calculation, but there are fewer opportunities to adjust it.
